Upload a Policy.
Uploading policies in Care Monitor is done through the Staff and HR Menu.
- First Click on Staff and HR.
- From the Staff and HR Menu, on the left, choose “Add policies and View Audit”
- This Policy screen will open.
- Click Get Document and then find the policy you want to upload.
- It is always best to use PDFs as not all of the users will have Office on their PC. A PDF can usually be opened on any pc.
- Next write in some detail, like: “Manual Handling Policy 2023”.
- Then Click Upload Document Now, and your policy will be uploaded and available to all staff inthe Staff Menu.
Note 1: You will also see on this page the audit trail of people who have opened the policies, and the date they opened them.
Note 2: If you want to archive a policy (possibly because you are uploading a later updated version), right click on the name of the policy and click “Archive”.
Read a Policy.
Staff may be required to read policies.
- When a staff member wants to read a policy, they need to go to the Staff Menu
- From the menu on the right, they can click on View Policies.
- A list of all the policies appear.
- To download and read the policy they need to just click on the name of the policy, and it will open in the program it was created with.
- This also records an audit that that user opened the policy.
Sign a Policy.
Staff may be required to sign policies.
- When a staff member wants to sign that they have read a policy, they need to go to the Staff Menu
- From the menu on the right, they can click on Sign Policies.
- The Policy Signing Form appears
- They then choose the policy from the drop-down list.
- Only policies that they haven’t yet signed appear.
- The details of the policy appear when you choose your policy.
- They need to click to confirm that they have read, understood, and are willing to implement the policy
- Then they click Save

- From the Staff and HR Menu, on the left.
- Choose “View Policy Signatures”
- The Signatures screen will open.
- Choose the policy you are interested in from the dropdown list.
- The policy details will appear.
- A list of the staff who have signed it also appears.
